Once at the comfort of your hotel relax and recover from over tiredness.
In the afternoon your chauffeur guide will take you to Mihintale temple. Mihintale is now a key pilgrimage site for Sri Lankan Buddhists, and is home to several majestic religious monuments including a magnificent 40ft stupa which dates back to the 1st century BC. There are many caves which were earlier used by monks for meditation in a quiet surrounding away from the main city of Anuradhapura.

Visiting ancient city of Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura is the first capital of Sri lanka. Its greatest monastic city of the ancient world that dates back to 5th century BC remained the majestic seat of the kingdom of Sri Lanka until the 11th century AD.
Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Sri Lankan civilization.
One of the most notable events during the Anuradhapura Kingdom was the introduction of Buddhism to the country. A strong alliance existed between Devanampiya Tissa (250–210 BC) and Ashoka of India, who sent Arahat Mahinda, four monks, and a novice to Sri Lanka. They encountered Devanampiya Tissa at Mihintale. After this meeting, Devanampiya Tissa embraced Buddhism and the order of monks was established in the country. Devanampiya Tissa, guided by Arahat Mahinda, took steps to firmly establish Buddhism in the country.

In the afternoon take an exhilarating jeep safari in Minneriya or neighboring Kaudulla national park. The vast century is home to about 250 wild elephants, wild buffaloes, sambar deer, crocodiles, sloth bears and more.

Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress and place built by king Kashyapa during the reign of 473 – 495 which is standing majestically 660 feet straight up. The word Sigiriya or Sinhagiri means the lion’s rock. Where you have to climb up 1200 steps before you reach the lion’s rock fortress on top of Sigiriya. Sigiriya is about 200 meters height.

Today you will arrive in the hill capital of Kandy. As the center of Buddhism and the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom.
To step up the tempo attend a dance performance featuring traditional dances from the different regions of Sri Lanka along with a fire walk show.

Spend the day at hill capital of Kandy , as the center of Buddhism and the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. Kandy is an administrative commercial culturel and attracts many pilgrims and tourists, a heritage site pretty in a valley surrounded by rings of mountains.
Visit the botanical garden which includes more than 4000 species of plants.

Experience with traditional train trip
The train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella is a beautiful 3 hours ride that moves through tea plantation, jungle and mountains. As the journey goes on, you move higher and higher up into the rolling green highlands where the big tea farms are many beautiful hilltop village and waterfalls.

This morning enjoy a hike to the mini Adam’s peak or Ella rock. Hike itself is a worthy experience as you walk through lush green tea estate. Its gives you a good impression of the landscape around Ella and the view is fantastic so absolutely worth the climb

Yala national park
Yala national park is the most visited and second largest national park. The park is a huge area of the forest. Grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian ocean in southeast Sri lanka . It is home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles. As well as hundreds of bird species .

Day 11

On the way to Mirissa, stop to see the most beautiful beaches . Mirissa is a tourist attraction destination and more fun. Can have delicious seafood.
