The Portuguese constructed Galle Fort in Sri Lanka’s Galle region. It started out as a fortress, but the Dutch updated it in the 17th century. There is a 400-year history behind it.
There are currently two gates used to enter the fort. There are a lot of government buildings in the area.
It continues to function as intended.
World Heritage Site status granted to Galle The fort is as stunning as it is historic.
Finally, Pay a visit to the Turtle Farm and the Stilt Fishermen’s Village.

Udawalawe National Park is Sri Lanka’s most visited park because of its significant elephant population and renowned birding opportunities.
encompassing a total area of 30,821 ha of land. There are 400 elephants being fed here, but only about 250 are considered permanent residents.

Relax on the beach, surfing
Located on Sri Lanka’s eastern coast, Arugam is home to a small fishing community. Arugam Bay is now one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sri Lanka because surfers discovered it. One of the world’s top ten surfing spots, thanks to its stunning bay, long, consistent breaks, and incredible swells.
The tropical setting, white sand beaches, and abundant exotic wildlife create an almost but not quite extravagantly exotic atmosphere. This makes it a great spot to relax and let the sea entice you into water sports like snorkeling, swimming, or surfing. At the same time, you breathe a sigh of relief over how well-organized your holiday turned out to be.
From April until October, surfers worldwide flock to these three points along the beach. Veteran surfers will tell you that the waves at Pottuvil Point, which can be reached by taxi or tuk-tuk in 1.5 hours, are unreal. It’s a deserted stretch of beach where large boulders litter the shoreline.

The majority of Arugam Bay’s surfers head to the break at Arugam Point when the season rolls around. The third and final stop is Crocodile Rock. Crocodiles, water buffalo, elephants, peacocks, eagles, and kingfishers are all regulars in this lagoon, adding to the attraction.

Batticaloa is guarded by her two beautiful consorts, the magnificent beaches of Pasikuda and Kalkuda. Located on Sri Lanka’s east coast, Batticaloa is home to a beautiful beach and lagoon. The singing fish of the picturesque lagoon are blamed for the lilting sound heard on moonlit nights.
One intriguing cultural aspect is the small group of descendants of Portuguese soldiers who speak a Creole Portuguese dialect thought to be similar to Medieval Portuguese. The curved coves of the beach of Pasikuda resemble the shiny edge of a serrated sickle

Sigiriya is a colossal ancient rock fortress and site constructed by King Kashyapa in the years 473–495. Sigiriya, also spelled Sinhagiri, is known as “Lion’s rock.” Sigiriya, where the lion’s rock fortress awaits at the top of a steep (1,200-step) mountain. The height of Sigiriya is roughly 200 metres.

Dambulla cave temple
The Dambulla Cave Temple is the most revered of Asia’s cave temples, with a history dating back to the 1st century BC. The temple is surrounded by five caves cut into the side of a huge rock. A drip line, cut into the Rock’s underside, directs any water away from the structure’s interior.
The ceilings of the caves are covered with elaborate patterns of religious images that have been painstakingly painted to follow the rock’s organic curves. The interior is adorned with statues of various deities and bodhisattvas, including the Buddha.
The cave monastery was built between the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC and is the best-preserved ancient building in Sri Lanka. Even now, thousands of worshippers and curious onlookers flock to this Shrine.
As with everything else, this too shall pass. In the safe hands of your chauffeur guide, you’ll make your way back to the airport.
