Mahesh is definitely the person to show you around this amazing country. In 10 days we visited Sigiriya, Dambula, Anuradhapura, Nuwara Eliya, Ella and Arugam Bay, where we scored a couple of days of decent surf, in small uncrowded waves. On the way back to Colombo we crossed the Yala National Park, travelled by the coast, slept at Weligama, where there are some good waves also, and visited Galle.
We went to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon for 10 days, and our trip included Sigiriya, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala National Park and Galle. We needed a driver to help us get around the country and Mahesh came highly recommended. Beforehand he was very responsive and straightforward in all our interactions. We then arrived at Colombo airport to a big smile and handmade garlands, and for the rest of our trip we could rely on Mahesh to do whatever he could to make our trip extra special. He was always on time, showed us all the interesting sites along our route, recommended activities that we hadn’t considered, and helped book things on our behalf. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Mahesh to anyone considering a trip to Sri Lanka.
Mahesh had just finished our 6days tour with us last week. He is punctual , reliable and knowledgeable! He is also quick to respond on WhatsApp. Over all our trip was smooth , fun and full of adventure. We managed to cover the Bawa tours in Colombo and Lunuganga , and travel from Galle to Ella- Kandy-Sigiriya and Dambulla. Thanks Mahesh! That’s was memorable.
Mahesh was a brilliant guide and driver throughout our 10 days of Sri Lanka. He always made sure we were happy and fed! He had great communication with us from the start sharing photographs of the comfy car. He was at the airport ready to meet us with a friendly smile. Mahesh's experience meant that he knew all the good places to go, taking us places we hadn't considered as part of our trip. He could also organise trips for us (such as a surfing lesson and cooking class) for cheaper than we could of booked it for. Mahesh was always flexible with times, picking us up when we needed and it didn't matter where we stayed, he always managed to get us there!!! As two girls travelling, Mahesh made us feel very comfortable and he felt like a third friend on our trip! We would 100% recommend Mahesh for anyone who wants to have a great time in Sri Lanka!!!
Mahesh is genuinely the best tour guide we have ever had. We went with two fairly young children and travelled around, with Mahesh driving. He was an excellent driver, punctual, always turned out well dressed and went above and beyond to show us all of the sights. He would even ensure that any local tour guides treated us brilliantly and didn’t charge too much. The kids loved him! So much that we are still in touch and share photos of what we’re up to. We have also recommended him to friends (also a family) who went to Sri Lanka after us. They loved him too and had a great time on a similar trip. I honestly could not recommend him enough. I’d give him more than 5 stars. Wonderful bloke.
